Default Stock Exhaust Manifold Removal

Do the stock exhaust manifolds get removed from the top or bottom? Cant seem to get the driver side out from the top, already sheared off a damn spark plug........any help is appreciated

It should drop right out the bottom if the y-pipe is out of the way.

Heat shield may hang it up a bit. just needs some persuasion.
