will a 98-02 t56 bolt right on a 97 lt1 if not what do you have to do thanks

no it will not.

you will have to change input shafts and front plates... i dont know what else, but those are two main parts stopping you.

also the bell housing clutch release bearing is different too.

im doin a swap from 4l60e to t56 and its leaving an inch gap between the motor and tranny. could it be because i have a lt1 t56? i was told it was an ls1 trans. how can i tell the difference? the search button isnt working

post a pic of the front of yours. does it have a clutch fork? if so its a lt1
