I've converted my car to Functional Ram Air. There is no elbow anymore. I need to purchase a pre molded coupler to connect the MAF to the TB. My current home made couple is 3" to 3.5", but this new 58 mm TB is bigger. MAF is 3", but the TB is oval so I'm not sure how to get an accurate size. Can I just take a string and wrap it around the TB and then measure the length of the string to give me the inside diameter of the coupler at the TB?

Well, I had one part correct. You do measure the outside, which turned out to be 12 7/8. That equates to 12.875. Divide that by 3.14 and you have the inside diameter. Roughly 4.1. So I'll need a 3" to 4" coupler. I can stretch it to get the .1.

Weird, my 58mm was the same size as my 48mm, for the outside oval diam. If it was bigger, I wouldn't be able to use my factory air cleaner stuff. But yea, I'm not sure what to tell ya short of using PCV, but that's a step instead of a nice smooth transition :\
