Will the oil press. sending unit cause no startup?

Default Will the oil press. sending unit cause no startup?

Mine broke off and i bought a new one that fell into 2 pieces, will this cause it not to start?

No. Shouldn't.
It will cause the oil pressure gauge to either read 0 PSI or like 80 PSI. Thats all mine did when it was mucked up. Car ran just fine.

Naw, but the low-oil sensor should. Or, well, I hope it would :\ I know it does on some vehicles.

Low oil level sensor just lights a light but does not keep the car from starting. I got rid of mine years ago.
