Default help!! what went wrong

I just did a h/c intake swap and a ls7 clutch install when i went to start it up i heard the starter grind, so i figured the starter went bad, pulled it off and the outside bolt hole of the block broke off and the inside part of the starter where it mates to the block also broke... i have 98 ls1 and i used the ls2 flywheel and ls7 clutch from scoggin's from what i read i should have no problems or do i have to use a different starter, what do i have to do to fix the block btw I'm done with this **** after i get this running

Default

get it welded back on. there have been more than a few ls1's that have had the starter break off over the years
