I was wondering if they would fit onto my '96 LT1. As of right now all they are doing is sitting around in the garage. They came off my Dad's '79 Corvette and he said I could have them if I want. I think they are 202 heads or something like that.

The primary reason to avoid attempting this conversion is that there is no way for coolant to transfer between the block and heads when early heads are set on an LT1 block. You would fry your motor in short order. Further, the LT1 heads with 1.94 intake valves are already significantly better than an SB1 head with a 2.02 intake valve. The compression is higher due to the smaller chamber and the combustion chamber configuration is more efficient. I'd recommend that you don't waste any time on this idea.

The old musclecar era stuff pretty much all SUCKS compared to the LT1 stuff. There were a lot of advances along the way.

Not gonna happen reasonably, better off porting your LT1 heads or building a gen I and installing the whole motor.
