Default So a flywheel out a 2006 GTO will not work on a new LS7 clutch

I have a brand new ls7 clutch and pressure plate . My friend has a 2006 Pontiac GTO and is fixing to trow away te flyweel and asked if I wanted it . Anyway I thought since this is a ls2 flywheel would it work the same as the ls2/ls7 corvette c6/z06 flywheel ?
folks on te gto board say it dont work on there ls2 setups but i tought it was diffeerent for them since tey come wit a ls2 flywheel anyway .

So can a 06 GTO flywheel work and be used don a 2000 ls1 trans am ?

What is different between the 05+ transmissions ?

Thanks
