Default Help me please( NO lights)

I turned on my lights last nite and all the lights are working gauges, radio etc. BUT the lights on trans shifter(A4) the letters & #'s (P, R , N, D ,3, 2, 1,)DON'T LIGHT UP. Is it a burned out bulb? I check the fuses but i don't know which one it mit be. Is it a easy fix?
Do i have to replace the center console ?
I called the dealership and they said i have to replace the center console. cost $138

Has any one had this problem?

****** stealership.

There is a 50 cent bulb under there that you need to replace. To take the console off, remove all the screws in the hole where the cds go (there are two under the coin holder) and remove your shift **** by pulling the little clip out and sliding it up. You should be able to lift the console up from the rear and slide it out. I might be forgettng a step or two in there, but just take your time and use good judgement, you can remove the console without a problem. The bulb is right under the PRND321 plate. You might have to move the shifter to a different gear to get the console up.

Yeah, you just need to REMOVE the console, not replace it. There is a little light in there to unplug and replace, maybe a dollar to do it yourself. The instructions above are good.
