Default Hi from CA. No car yet, just started looking.

Wow, what a great forum this is. Anyway, I am so new I don't have a car to chat about but I am shopping and have an idea of what I want. '96-'00 6 speed Bird or Z28 in the
$10k or less area that is preferably stock. It has been fun searching but I am in no rush. The right car will fall into my lap at the right time.

Exactly. With $10k you could search the 98-02 range. Check LS1tech's classified section. Prices are usually at or below market value.

Good luck, have fun, be safe.

Yes....after doing a little research my target year is '98 and up. I am torn between cars though.....I prefer the look of the '93-'97 Camaro and the '98 and up Bird. In no rush to buy at the moment and am enjoying looking and doing research. Thanks!

Well, I caved and gave in at a good deal. Picked up a '95 Z28 for $3400.00 with a fresh rebuild and new clutch. Needs some tlc but still a very fun car to drive and fit the budget great (wife is happy). This is such a great website. I am learning more every day. Thanks!
