Default can head studs be used over and over again?

i can't seem to keep head gaskets in my truck even at the lower boost level. i have never had problems before. we had the heads trued up and this time used stock gaskets at 13psi.

there is about 10% c16 in the tank along with meth, low timing and no knock showing on the log a/f in the 11.5 range. gasket seems to push out with one good run and it is kicking our ***. they are not leaking out the side of the block or any white smoke but after one run there is evidence of combustion gases in the cooling system and it over heats quickly. you can see the coolant geting pushed out of the overflow even when it is cold.

there is something we are over looking.

can head studs be used many times. the set on my truck has been used 7-8 times now, maybe more. could the heads have lost their temper or anything like that? what is the chance of a warped deck on the block?

The studs should be fine unless you have overtorqued them and stretched them. My friend has a set of ARP's in an alcohol sprint car motor that has moved through 3 motors and like 9 seasons of racing. You may be stressing them more than him, though! Maybe call ARP?

Block could warp - is it an aluminum one?

You should be ok. Maybe you should upgrade to a L19 headstud.

Maybe its time to get the get the deck on the block surfaced or maybe something cracked. One good overheat and things move.

Head studs can wear out, only way to tell is measure them new and see how far they stretch but its not a common thing unless you really overtorque them. 7-8 times is nothing really if they werent overtightened.

I think you have a crack somewhere or deck issue.
