Default No spark?

Just put the car back togethor. Had the K member out, wiring harness, etc. Car is turning over, fuel pump is on. Pulled out a plug and sure enough no spark. I checked all the connections and grounds and it has me stumped. Any ideas?

Check your crank position sensor and grounds. The CPS is the only part of the system that will kill your spark. Other than that you might have a blown wire somewhere.

To do this you will need a good multimeter and a friend or a remote starter switch (Autozone carries these for about 15 bucks)

Here are some tests to perform.
- Check for 12V at the pink wires on the coil connectors at IGN on and during cranking
- Check for ground at the black wires on the connectors

Unplug the blue PCM connector

- Check for 12 volts on pins 20 & 57 on the blue connector, WHEN THE IGNITION IS OFF
- Check for 12 volts on pin 19, blue connector DURING CRANKING.

Plug the blue connector back in and remove the starter and unplug the CPS connector (it is above the starter on the block)

- Check for 12V on the light green wire with the ignition on
- Check for ground on the yellow/black wire with the ignition on

Plug the connector back in and re-install the starter
Unplug the blue PCM connnector

- Check for signal on the blue/white wire on Pin 12. This will probably be read in millivolts.

Check the relay. Same thing happened to me and that's what it was.
