Tranny problem... help please... ok
04 a4 41k miles (just out of the factory warranty).... It works perfectly when it is shifted manually.... but it won't go into 3-4th when it is in drive.....
in drive---1st.... shifts...2nd ...no shift at all...
anyone have any ideas??? please let me know....

it need rebuilt, 3-4 clutch is fried. if you had regular service work done at the dealer or you are good friends with them they can cover it up to 5 years 60,000 miles under good will. too bad your not in ohio or i would say bring it to the dealer i work for and i would get it handled for you.
