Default MBA Cylinder Head Plate Color Fade

I was wondering whether anyone else who has a cylinder head plate, has noticed if their color has been fading? Mine is black and has Trans Am WS.6 engraved on it, but nocited the black has faded to almost a purplish color. I took it off the car today and wiped it down, and its still dis-colored. Is there any possible way to bring back the black, or is there nothing i can do? It doesn't bother me i still love the way it looks on engine, but was wondering if maybe the color can be brought back.

It's just anodized aluminum. It won't hold up forever... There's nothing you can really do about it either.

I have the red version and it has faded slightly - must be from engine heat. You can get it anodized again - but then you would also have to re-etch the logo/lettering back in...

So this thread is really old but I don't care--any anodize will fade UNLESS you have it clear powder coated
