probably a good idea, i put sportlines on my car, got new struts for the front but left the stock shish in the back... which means i will probably be doing that work all over again to change it out. just do it all the first time and do it right... wish i would have

Shorter springs will generally have a higher spring rate than the longer stock springs. This higher spring rate will really benefit from a good shock to help control it. The stock springs will work O.K., but will not do a very good job of controlling the new stiffer springs. That’s why you will generally hear people tell you to change the springs and shocks at the same time.
