Default just another heads question.

my question might be thought of as dumb but i need help. i have a comp 228/230 571/573 112lsa. what would you guys recommend 5.3l heads or are 5.7l heads ok. thanks a lot.

Rich, you'll need to disclose some more information about what and how you intend to use your car ie. daily driver, some limited track use, canyon racing or do you want to pull into a car cruise with a lopey idling cam? Also, some additional info on other mods to your car as well as trans type and rear end gears. What gas do to you intend to use? The more specific your question, the greater input this forum will provide. Just MHO.

The big advantage of 5.3's is that higher compression ratios are easily acheived. If you plan to stay around 10.5 or below, 5.7s can be ported to the same performance level as 5.3s. If you 11.0 want CR, then 5.3s are your ticket.
