4 th gears sometimes and not others

4 th gears sometimes and not others I just in my car today and outta of the blue it didnt want to go into forth gear. The clutch is about shot , but for some reason when i do get it into forth it wont come back out until i stop and mess with is for a little while. Then one time i had to do that on the way home and got it outta of fourth and into second , but it started wining until i stoped and got it into 1 st .
Is it just the clutch doing it ? Third is being a bit of a bitch too? 5 and 6th are fine aswell as 1 and 2. Clutch or bigger problems

You probably have issues with the clutch and definately issues in the 3/4 slider assembly . Replace the keys in the assembly , replace the fork with a steel fork and replace the syncro rings . I would go ahead and replace all the rings and fork inserts while you have it apart and debur all the other sliders and gears for smooth operation as well . You should be fine in the trans department .
The clutch issues will have to be resolved as well for the trans to work properly .
