Question on results with 12 bolt in a bolt on car.
My 60 ft. is suffering and I want to do a gear but not in my 10 bolt so I want to buy a 12 bolt with a 4.10 and run some Mickey Thompson ET streets. Right now my 1/4 mile is 12.7xx with a 1.996 60ft at 111.2xx MPH. What kind of results should I expect from doing this. Oh yah im pretty much at stock weight minus spare tire, jack, egr and air.

What tires do you have, get some DR, I have gone 1.8's w/ Nittos. But my stock clutch is starting to slip now. If you have stock clutch your 10 bolt should hold up, clutch usually slips first. Sure your clutch is not slipping or are you getting tire spin? 12 bolt will be heavier, but 4.10 should help. I will probably need new rear after clutch upgrade.

Get some MT DR and those 60' should be down in the 1.7's, thats what I'm hoping for with new clutch. I want to go 12.20's before headers and Cam, full weight. My car is not a daily driver so if the rear snaps I will save up for 12 bolt and 4.10's. I have seen some M6 w/stock 10 bolts run for years deep into the 11's, and others break on a 13 second LS1.
