Default Vibration!?! 02 ss

My car is an 02 ss. It has only 31k on it. The only mods are in my sig. My problem: when in park if u idle the car up it vibrates and you can feel it in the seat. It only does it around 13-1500 rpm's. Above or below it does not do it but it is constant in that range. I thought it may be exhaust.? Last night I noticed that going down the road in any gear at 2k rpms the same vibration comes back. It is most noticeable in drive at around 48-50mph. It is not tires because it will do it only at 2k in each gear. I turned on the cruise control in drive and it vibrated the entire time. I shift to OD and it goes away, back to drive there it is. I still have some extened warranty left but I needed to know what my problem could be because you know how dealerships are! NOTE After I bought my car I found out that a dealership tore my engine down and supposedly replaced all the pistons and rods. This was done in May of 05. The reason for this was to fix a cold engine knock. It still has one. The guy at the dealership said they replaced the old pistons with new standard high limit pistons. Is this a bad thing?--->(the fact that it has been torn down)
