Thoughts on a PT91 vs. GT47-88?
Currently I have a GT47-88 turbo on my build. I have come across a killer deal on a new PT91. I know the GT47's turbine is a tad small for a 350+ ci engine (mine is a 366). Are there any "negatives" known about the PT91s?

I think there is some sort of hybrid GT47-88 with a 91 wheel, but you'd have to ask someone like Brian M. over there to be sure. I thought Sound Performance had done something like that once... I'm not sure.

1st why are you wanting to go down in size with your set-up???
Your going to start to run into back pressure problems with a smaller turbo...
I thought your Turbo was hurt... ie broke???

First, I want to spend as little money possible to fix my setup and get it running right. second, I dont plan on making more then 9xxrwhp so either turbo will get me there. third I think i would spool a bit faster with the smaller turbo, plan on running 10-12psi on 91 with some 101 in there just to be safe, then 16psi or so on 101 for my race setup. Fuel system wont support more then 9xxrwhp so why spend extra money for no reason?
Ya, turbo needs a new wheel and bushing but can be fixed easily...
I understand backpressure issues, but that usually happens with a 76 or maybe 80 wheel on a 408... ive seen plenty of people run pt88s on 408s, 402s, etc...
