Default Low Oil Light ? help

I have a 99 ss 6 speed drop top with the ls1. My low oil light is coming on and my car is running a quart high when i check the dipstick. My pressure seems fine, but im not sure if I am lacking power.(hard to tell if you have 275 or 325 horses) I had a performance clutch put in last week and I'm not sure if the mechanics befuddled something. Also I am so far disappointed with my clutch. Ram Powergrip from summit.

any thoughts or help would be great, im going to talk to my mechanic now.

thanks Rich

Its pretty easy to change out the sensor if you have a spare one laying around. It could just be a bad sensor although I've never heard of one going bad.

The oil light has been on in my T/A for a while. I changed the sensor last year, and it is still on. It has to be a problem with the wiring or something that is causing it for me. I don't know of a way to program it out of the computer either, otherwise I would have done it already.
