ls truck pan/fit in an "A" body car

Default ls truck pan/fit in an "A" body car

i was wondering if anyone using an ls motor in an A body car, tried the truck pan, it looks like it has a shorter sump

The truck pan is the lowest pan of all. It will definately hang below the crossmember. bczee is running a cts-v pan and his is about 1" below the crossmember. I'm pretty sure the truck pan is about 1" lower than that.

i was worried about the sump hitting the crossmember, but you think the front part might hit, not shallow enough
building a 540 b/b with a 4l80e trans sure would be easier-lol

Look at the other A-body swaps around. I will be running an stock F-body pan w/ no mods. Just depends what mounts you use and if you don't mind drilling the crossmember. At the most the CTS-V pan should clear.

My concern w/ the truck pan is it hanging below the crossmember behind it. So if you hit a big bump you wack the pan instead of the crossmember.
