Default thermostate housing
will a later truck model one fit the older ls1 water pump? I want to do something and if it will fit then i will modd the truck one. also on the truck one it has a replacable thermostate

I installed a 04 5.3L thermostat into an Fbody pump with no issues. I have not run the engine though. It fits no problem.
