Should I accept this offer?
PLEASE share your thoughts - I'll appreciate any and all feedback!
Is $14,800 a good offer - the best I can get for this car? KBB said that a private sale should be $16,650, but is that realistic? It's in beautiful shape, stock, has never been raced. Ws6, Ram Air, 63,900 miles, all power, and excellent condition inside and out.
Thanks for your help!

That's a pretty fair price if you ask me. Here in Indiana, that's a little on the high side. In your area, that price could be a really good bargain. I've heard and read about so many scenarios. If you have someone seriously offering that amount, I'd take them up on it.

Personally, I'd consider that on the low side. KBB is normally right on the money with private party values. Lets just say that I would consider picking up an unmolested '02 WS6 with less than 65K on the clock for that price to be an excellent deal. I'd hold out, but it's your car and if you need to move it then take the offer.

Thanks - that's sort of what I thought, too. There's a car show, swap, and auction at Carlisle in 2 weeks. I started a thread in the Eastern regional forum, to see if any other members know whether or not that might be a good place to find good, interested buyers. I'll certainly wait until then, if the feedback from the members confirms that the car is worth more.
Appreciate your thoughts - thanks!

I have a couple of options now - I have been offered $14,800, but there I live near Carlisle, PA, and they have a Fall Collector Car show and sale there in 2 weeks. I'm thinking of waiting until then, and seeing if I might find a buyer with an offer closer to my asking price of $16,000.
Any feedback or opinions about the prospects of selling this car at a show like that? They have about 1,500 cars for sale in the "corral" plus another 200 at auction, with around 100,000 people attending over 4 days.
thanks again

No harm in trying
Definitely try to sell at that time. Lots of money in town looking to buy. I believe that offer is a tad low but not outrageously low. Take it if you have to but give it a try first. I think $16,000 would be about right. Good luck!

My .02 cents, yes the car may be worth 16k, but what it's worth, and what someone is willing to pay for it are two different things, cash talks and bs walks, ask any of these guys that say hold out for 16k to offer you 15.5 now, and I bet no takers. Your only talking about $1200, and the longer you hold on to it the more it cost you, also the more it depreciates, and these cars will continue to depreciate for another 15 or so years. I'd take it

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder my friend .
That price is on the low side . Though I have seen them go for over $20k and as low as $8k . It is all in who wants it bad enough . If you are not hurting for the money just hold out till the right buyer comes around and they will . It maybe tommorow or maybe a few months .
Xmas is coming up and someone is looking for a new toy so I would say your car could fetch $18k . Maybe not at an auction or dealership but to the right person and with the right talk for sure .
Let me also say to all bird owners that we need to set the bar and not settle for less as we make the prices at the end of the day . They are not making anymore of them and that to me makes them worth more everyday .
KBB only helps folks get an idea and the banks to set a loan value .
Banks dont like used cars and dont like to give out loans past a few years or certain mileage thus cash buyers and cash buyers fall in different brackets . This is why you see some cars sell for such a low price as they are under a certain year and mileage .
Anyway good luck in your decision !

Thank you all VERY much! I appreciate your thoughts and insight - that's the reason I posed the question to this group. I took the car to the Carlisle Collectors show today, and will have it there through Sunday the 7th (or until someone buys it!)
