Default Car alarm

Is there anyway to turn the car alarm off for the time being? Iv lost my keyless entry and using the key, when i unlock it, as soon as i sit int he car the alarm goes off untill the engine is started. Is there any way to turn this off untill i get the keyless entry back?

if you still have your owners manual, it tells you how to in there. If not there's a write up somewhere around here, i'll try to find it

Never tried it myself, but try using the manual slide lock buttons instead of the door lock button - thinking that won't arm the alarm?

I found it, it applys to all 96+ camaro and firebirds,

Step one: Turn the ignition on, then off.

Step two: Remove the radio fuse only (not the fuse that says acc\radio

Step three: Turn the key to the accessory position. When you do this you will get two chirps. from the door buzzer. Should you only hear one chirp, your vehicall does not have factory security and these instructions do not apply. You need to hear two chirps.

Step four: Press the unlock switch on the door. This will give you 1-4 chirps depending on the program setup. Continue pressing unlock untill you get to the desired chirp setting.

1 chirp = Disarmed
2 chirp = Remote only
3 chirp = Factory Setting
4 chirp = Passive Arming

Step five: Turn the ignition off.

Step six: Put Radio fuse back in.
