Default Exhaust sound question

I've got a muffler, but it's gonna be a little while before I can put it on. I was thinking in the meantime that I would pick up a cherry bomb or something for $20 or so to slap on in the meantime. Anyone know if it will sound any better than having no muffler? I'm getting tired of that Ford truck exhaust note.

Pick up a Dynomax bullet muffler, part 24222, and put it in the I-pipe (ala-Loudmouth).
The muffler runs around $40 and the sound is awesome. It is greatly refined over the mufflerless sound.
I have some sound clips on page 2 of my site.
Best part is that the bullet is straight through, no fins or louvers inside, like a cherry bomb, to disrupt exhaust flow... it's like running open 3" pipe.
Good luck
Dave

Thanks, Dave. I checked out those sound clips and it sounds really good. I'd say it's worth the extra 20 bucks.
