ported TB observations
i know you have probably read a million of these ported TB threads but i just felt like sharing
i swapped my stocker for a ported one a friend did for me.
throttle response is crisper by a big margin.
as for the power i cant feel much maybe like the dif between driving when its 80 degrees out as opposed to 90 degrees. not much but 8-10 hp here and there add up.
IMO its a good cheap mod and well worth it

Just did mine from Cory @ LS2portworks and I definitely noticed that throttle response was quicker. Sitting in nuetral and revving it up, it climbs the tach MUCH more readily than it did before.
Like you said, may not be that much of a gain by itself, but couple that with a proted intake manifold (if you've got an LS2) and that's a guaranteed 10rwhp extra. Throw on an UD pulley and you're at 15-20 extra over what you'd be with the normal bolt ons.
Can you tell I have an underlying plan here?

Your right it is a cheap mod, I ported mine sometime ago with just my dremal and some time. Mine is a LS1, may have picked up some could not tell all that much.
