Default SLP lid question!

I was just wondering if anyone's had any issues with the air hose on the driver's side of an SLP lid not fitting up tightly? What I'm referring to is where the hose joins into the plastic 90 degree elbow which has a grommet for the hole in the side of the lid. It's almost to me like that one of the hoses are too long or too short, causing everything to seem "crooked" of sorts. I know that some of you reading this are going to think I'm a moron but I was just wondering if in any instances anyone has had to trim or do any other modifications with the hoses to make everything fit together "tidy"? thanks everyone

It tells you in the instructions to trim the hose at the joint by the lid.

I don't remember it was one of the first things I did. I just trimmed a little, then more until it looked right.
This is my car back then before I trimmed the hose.
This is someone elses car with it trimmed right.
