Anyone Painted Stock Seats?
Firstly, what are our seats? Pleather? I don't know if any of you have heard of Kevin Tetz. He is somewhat of an autobody and paint guru who some time ago made his own set of videos where he teaches you caleld "Paintucation". He is now a co-host of "Trucks" and often does paint and body.
In his latest video, released quite recently, the first one he released where he doesn't have a mullet, he does what he calls "extreme detailing". One of the things he does is take some sun damaged and very faded black seats and paints them. He uses a gray (i think) scuff pad and rubs the seat down with acetone, masks the surrounding areas and uses a spray can paint for leather/plastic.
Has anyone tried it? My paint teacher mentioned one of his older students said he tried it and it did not hold up, I was hoping that student did it wrong. I thought if anyone has tried it, it would probably be here.

I'm not an expert on dyeing or painting stuff, especially stuff you sit on, but I wouldn't trust a good pair of paints on anything dyed.

There was a memeber here that dyed the leather sits on his firebird red, he only did half the seat, it did look good, but I would be worried of getting some red paint on my back.....
