Default F-Body rear end

My 95 LT1 A4 camaro weighs 3300 with me in it, will the stock F-Body rear end with a posi rebuild and 4.56 gears/4500 stall handle 1.55 60ft. launches?

Yes, make sure you throw a girdle on it too. I went mid 1.4 60fts with the 10 bolt for over two seasons.

Isn't your car extremely light though. I'd be scared of the ring and / or pinion failing. Especially with that steap of gearing.

My '00 (that had the 10 bolt that lasted 2+ seasons) weighed 3100 and had Richmond 4.10 gears, and the one I have now weighs 2980 and has GM 3.42s. I do agree that the 4.56 is a thinner gear, but it can be done.

LSPERFORMANCE: Why are you going with a 4.56? Are you running a big tire? 1/8 mile racing only? I recommend going no bigger than a 4.10. Just stick with a 26" or 28" tire.
