Default what should be repaleced when chaning optis

im goin to chane my opti cuase the one i have now took a **** so i was wondering if there is anything else i should repalce while im doin an opti swap ...any suggestions

Depends on how far you want to go. Some suggest water pump. Others might suggest replacing the timing chain, but that requires further surgery and dropping the oil pan. When I did my opti, I didn't replace anything. However, might want to do plugs and wires that way most of the ignition system is fresh.

I would suggest, the LEAST you do is the water pump. No sense in having the water pump crap out after X amount of miles and ruin your still good Opti. Also, tap weep hole and put a small brass fitting in it, and then hook a small hose up to it and lead it down by the oil pan. So IF the pump fails, the ever so cleverly placed weep hole, is now down under the car away from the Opti.
