What happened to it/what state are you in? In Florida with full coverage on your car insurance will replace it free - one time good deal. Call your insurance company first, won't hurt to ask. Other states might be the same. Space junk fell out of the sky and hit it, right?

when i broke my windsheild. I called three diffferent insurance companies. they all told me unless you have atleast comprehensive coverage they will not pay for it to be replaced. all i had was pip and liability so it ended up costing me about 225 for them to come to the house and replace it.

I work for a windshield company thats about right. Windshield are not cheap. If your comprehensive coverage is less then the windshield then you just pay that.

$220 is what I was quoted. I'm having to hold out on it for awhile though, I have no money to fix it so I have to put up with the scratches and glare for now

actually there was a chip in it, then i hit it with some cold water on a 90 degree day and it cracked... this was after i bought it but before i had tags, insurance, etc... so i could file a claim but im too honest of a guy to commit insurance fraud

If everyone thinks the windsheilds are big $$$, don't EVER manage to break a side window!! When the crackheaded P.O.S. broke the side glass to take my head unit, it cost almost $300.00 to fix!!! (And I shopped around A LOT!)

Do you have an Aaron auto glass center near you? They are the cheapest here in the chicagoland area.

I paid 140 installed for mine, but you can tell it's cheap glass because the bottom corners are flat looking instead of rounded. Plus the new trim the guy put on keeps coming off on the passenger side and fits kinda crappy. 220 installed doesn't sound too bad, you get what you pay for.
