WS6 Hood
OK, this guy at my school has a WS6 hood. He bought it but never put it on his car. It is still primer black and I would need to get it painted black. He wants $550 for it. Is that a good price? How much would paint be? Thanks for all the help!

depends on if its a factory GM Ws6 hood, or one of the many replicas on the market. Factory hoods new are around $1500, and Replicas brand new go for around 500-600 + shipping. Id say it could be a little cheaper, but if its brand new like he says, at least you are saving the shipping costs...
so basically ask him if its a replica or a factory gm hood. if its factory, ****** it up cause thats a good deal. hell, you could probably even resell it on the board and make some money on the deal, if it is infact a gm hood.
if its a replica, thats about what they cost new, but youll be saving shipping costs. (roughly 75-150dollars)
keep in mind it still needs painted and that is gonna run you 350-550 depending on the shop...

A factory hood will cost anywhere between 1300 - 1600
VFN sells a ws6 lift hood for $400 w/ 25 dollar shipping that will probably fit better than OEM ones. This is because VFN is a fiberglass genius. They also have a bolt-on ws6 hood for $495 and the good thing about both is they will not be used.
here is a link, you should check out there other inventory

Sounds like a good deal considering it's new, he's there, therefore no shipping costs which would probably be over $100. The money you'd be saving on shipping costs from somewhere else can therefore be applied to the paint job. Plus you know you want it! Oh and if its a factory hood, take it off his hands quick!
