TCI converter/ls1 pilot
Ive been looking at newer converters for my th350/5.3 setup and alot of people cant answer my question.
Everyone talks about using the spacers, but my question is this. If i use a converter like the TCI 2600 that is advertised as having an ls1 pilot and bolt pattern, will the tranny bolt up just as if i was putting it up to the back of a gen 1 small block? Or will i still need a different flexplate and/or spacer? As long as im buying a new converter it would be nice to eliminate the need for a spacer/new flexplate if possible.
Is the bolt pattern on my 5.3 flexplate the same as on a ls1? it came out of a 2000 fullsize.
Thanks in advance guys.
