I'm coming over from owning BMW's, so I'm a LS1 newbie. I'm looking at a 02 last year Z28 stripper with 0 options, one owner, mint, and only 9K miles. Is $16K too high for this model?

I am actually looking for a stripper model to do some mean suspension/motor mods to. I like the light base at 3300lbs which is much less than I expected a Camaro could be.

sounds about right. 9k miles is VERY low for an 02 as im sure you know. if the car is in good shape and the engine doesnt knock or have any issues, and the clutch needs to be in good shape too with that low mileage.

The barganing part of me says you can get it for under $15k.

it is just about right considering low milage. like others mentioned already, check for engine problems or body damages.

An 02 SS with 9k miles will not go for $16k unless the seller is desperate. So with this being a Z28 that seems like a pretty good price willing that it's in excellent condition.
