What direction do wheel bearings get pressed on?

What direction do wheel bearings get pressed on? I'm installing a 9" in my car and I am going to get the wheel bearings pressed on today.
What direction do they get press on? The outer O ring is off set on the bearing.
I already marked each axle, the long one is the passenger side and marked each backing plate.
Any other tips/advice?
