New best pass tonight. 1.581 60'. Track was prepped the best I've ever felt because they had some alcohol dragsters running. Managed to pull the wheels on launch too even though i'm running 17x9" wheels in the front. Track was a disaster though, wrecks, breaks and fires all night long FTL. They booted me but not a TT Viper with no cage which is silly. Paid $35 to get my best pass to date. Even though they booted me they announced at 11pm when I got my first pass that it was going to be the last pass for my group. I took it easy on the launch and it paid off, 5psi, massive hook and instant spool. We also had a 25+mph headwind which sucked I was shocked that they even had the track open, they usually cancel for less wind than this.
I wish someone would have gotten it on video. My car is spooling way to fast now in this cooler weather with all the leaks fixed. It's silly to drive with how hard it hits the tires. I'm going to move up to my .96 a/r housing form my .81 to try and slow it down a tad and gain some more power. I'm also going to try and borrow a video camera so you guys can see how fast this rear mounted t76 spools, it's rediculous now that it's cooled off.

Yes, I spray some meth for safety and to help a little with fueling, 66% meth,33% water. I should have upped my timing 3 degrees last night since I had 100 octane in it, but I left it at my 91 octane settings. Without changing the turbo it has 9.90's in it with some more work. I'm going to be concentrating on making it hook now.

I think it's very informative how much ambient temp still made a difference even when spraying methanol. I wouldn't have thought that. Have you logged IAT's for your runs in either weather condition?

Our DA was awesome when I ran, it was only 2800'!!! That's like winter time DAs. The temp plays a huge role out here. Intercoolers don't like 110+ ambient temps, the methanol helps with the IATs. In summer i've seen IATs drop from 160's under boost to 85 degrees with a 115 ambient temp. That was on straight methanol. I don't really watch the IATs any more when I run. I think when I first put the kit on I was seeing 40 degree IATs in 65 degree ambient weather but the memory is kinda fuzzy. I haven't paid much attention to what the mix I run does. I don't depend on meth to keep the motor alive, it's just an extra safety measure in our insane summer heat.
