Default alarm goes off when unlocked with key??

I lost my original set off keys and my key fob (keyless entry), and now everytime I unlock my car with the new set of keys my alarm goes off in about 3 seconds if I don't get the ignition turned on before. If I program a new key fob to my car, do yall think the alarm will quit going off?

That's normal, or at least my car and my sister's car (2000 T/A WS6) do that. Though they take more like 10 seconds, not sure if you were exaggerating about that part. Unlocking with the key fob will work. Also, you can lock it manually and the alarm won't arm. I'm not sure if there's a way to disable automatically arming the alarm when locking the car (and then the question would be how you CAN arm the car - maybe by pressing the lock button twice fast? not sure).

Yes that is normal, if you use the key to open the doors when you've armed the alarm it will go off unless the key is put in the ignition.
