Default Vortech g trim??

Hello i was wantin to know if a vortech g trim supercharger would be worth the money for my 99 z28, its got a ms3 cam, headers, true duals, ls6 intake & a couple other things...but im thinking about buyin a 2 year old kit for $2500, i know nothing about forced induction...so is it worth it guys? what kinda power gains can i expect? btw its not intercooled, thanks!

2-yr old as in used?

If it's used that seems high to me for a non-intercooled system.

What's your cam's lsa?

Some other guys have gotten some good numbers out of them - try a Search?

the ms3 is like 112 or 113 lsa, so that might need to go and A vortec is kinda just a belt driven turbo. for about the amount of money youll have to spend to go along with it, you would be better off getting a procharger with a front mount intercooler.

I have heard that running the ms3 cam with a blower isnt the best idea, it bleeds off to much boost. The blower on my car was dynoed right around 450 and that was before the the ls6manifold, headers and cutout were put in. Im happy with it. If you are going for power though, I would take the 2500 bucks, buy a bigger cam and heads and a small shot of nitrous and Im sure you would be about the same.
