Default compression question

just wondering I have tossed around the idea for a while of doing a 88mm turbo or a procharger f1 on my 408..but the thing is its about 12:1. I know thats to much but what is perfect for this? and whats the most you can get my with?

My 408 is 9 to 1 but most people go with a 9.5 to 1 ratio with a procharger and even lower with a turbo setup.

the thing u lefted out is pump fuel or race-fuel?

u will get a lot of help whether u can or not-if u tell us what u want to run-

i'm kind of in a similar boat. I plan on a a turbo for my 10.5:1 iron head 355, but a bit scared of the compression with 91 octane. I plan to run meth, but it'd be nice to be able to get by with just an IC. Its about 430-440 hp motor, so only planned on about 8psi with a t70.

If you don't mind using meth/water injection, i'm sure you can run atleast 15psi with a good tune. I've got a book by A Grahm Bell (not that one) and i remember reading that with 10:1 and meth/water you could typically go up to 25psi.

12-1 is high for a Turbo but I would think 5lbs could be done.
We are actually doing a Supercharger on a NA 12-1 comp 408 soon.The owner wants to try it before we swap the pistons.The plan is to run a dual nozzle meth kit too.
