Default LS6 ported heads? clutch? 00T/A

My friend who drives a 00 Trans Am has just gone through his 6th clutch and 2nd transmission rebuild. While its down he says he's interested in purchasing some LS6 ported heads and a new clutch. I thought that ported LS6 may be a lil much for his car which now only has a cam,lid no headers or gears but I could be wrong. Would like some feedback on what street/strip clutch would be a good choice for his car? He use to have a spec stage III that I bought from T.Byrne Motorsports.

tell him to get a twin disc clutch, and just have him get some ported 5.3/4.8 heads. I have heard no complaints at all about the Textralia clutch it is pricy but it is supposed to be one of the best out there.

Thanks for the info. I thought ported LS6 heads may be too much for a cam only car but then again I can't remember his cam size and don't know a whole lot about LS1 car either.
