PAGING FI crew....race cover question

Dr. Turbo's PM box was full so here it is:

When I ordered my ST80, I assumed the race cover was a bell type that DID NOT accept a filter. Is this so?

If it has a flange for a filter I would LOVE to send mine in for a cover swap.

Here is a pic of my S88 with the race cover. A 5" diameter filter fits it. The race cover also has a 3 1/2" outlet which is larger than the old cover.
