swaping 97 rear end to 2002??
K I have a 97 formula firebird with 3.73 gears and eaton pois that i had put in it. MY ex g/f wreck the car and pretty much totally all the body on it. I now own a 2002 z28. IS it possible to swap the whole rear end?
neither car has traction control button so i never have to worry about turning it off

yes.. but you will have to swap the brake backing plates and brakes over also it will depend on if the car has 4 channel (ABS/TCS) or 3 channel (ABS only). I have a 3 channel rearend from a 95 that I put into my 01 4 channel car. I had to use the 4 channel axles, and had to grind the housing at the backing plate flange to clear the wheel sensor. other than that it all bolted up no problem.

they both have no traction control
So i belive they will be both 3 channles..
I plan on taking the whole rear end........with rotor...brakes.........just un bolt the whole thing....and swap it.
so it should just bolt in?
