Corvette Torque Tube
I have a 2003 Corvette Z06 that I bought as a totaled auto. I bought the running gear, brakes, LS6, six speed trans (manual), wheels, brakes, control arms, front and rear suspension, and rear end.
I am building a frame for this in order to mount a 67 Chevelle convertable to this. The wheel base on the Chevelle is about 24" longer than the Corvette, so I will need to lengthen the torque tube in order to make this work.
I am looking for information on how to do this. Has any one had any work done on a torque tube? I know that they shorten them when they mount C1 or C2 bodies to C5 suspension, I just can't find any info on how they, or who is doing it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jim.
