New guy with an LS1
Greetings all,
I'm new to the LS1 world of engines. I just picked up my first one last weekend. It is from a 99 Camaro with a 4l60e transmission. It has 50,000 miles on it.
I have mainly dealt with older engines in the past. I have a 72 350 with 3-deuces in a '40 Chevy. I am currently working on a '30 Chevy that will have a 64 Buick 401 in it.
I have been reading all the information I can find on LS1 motors, and this forum seems to be the best source so far. All the sensors and computer needed for the fuel injection will be new ground for me, but I am interested to learn.
I'm planning on using the LS1 in an A-Team van replica that I'm building for my wife. Any advice on putting this engine/trans combo in an early 80's Chevy/GMC van would be welcomed.
