Default installing 9 inch into 02 Z28

Ok,

I'll be putting in a 9 inch Ford into my 02 Z28 in the near future. I have been told that some altering of the body needs to be done so the diff and related spohn torque arm can fit.
The rear metal part that supports the back seats has be hammered thereby throwing off the backseats so they cant sit flush.

anyone hear of this or anything else, or solutions are this?
thanks

No I have never heard of this. All you need to do is to stick a pry bar up there and gently tweak the sheetmetal away a little. It doesn't take much and you certainly won't notice it from inside the car. Bob

ok, cause my friend who installed it in his 94 Z28 convert said that the backseat supports were messed up. Mine being an 02 hardtop I imagined could be the exact same...
thanks
