Older 12 Bolt in Newer F-Body???

Default Older 12 Bolt in Newer F-Body???

any way to make a older 12 bolt work with my 02 SS it was going in my 67 RS but restoration slowed to a hault b/c of bad health problems with my mom its been sitting since 04 when we had it redone.

i know it wont have abs or tcs but that doesnt concern me really. any other difficulties trying to install it?

car its going in is a 02 SS

uhhh... where you gonna mount the torque arm? its not a bad idea because the old 12 bolts are some good rearends, but between the lca mounts and no torque arm provisions it's probably gonna cost as much or more than a new setup from one of the sponsor's...

You could make your SS a 4 link setup and have a welding shop just weld the 12 bolt up with mounts thats what the guys are doing with 8.8 conversions.

I wouldn't be able to tell you, i've got a local welding shop that I've used a couple times on my old pickup and they are dirt cheap for really good work.
