What psi on slicks, to save rear end?
Well to start off I got a 98Z28 with a tr224 and a vig3200 stall, with exhaust and was wondering since im going to the track tomorrow and my only source of traction are Hoosier 27x10.5/15 slicks that If aired the tires high enough to loose a little bit of traction so that I could not brake my rear would work? And what psi should I run on them , and what should be my 1/8 mi time?

Anything above 13lbs in mine and I just spin my *** off. I'd try 16-20lbs, should give you decent traction without a big hit on the rear. Depending on how well the track is prepped and how sticky the tires get you'll probably have a problem with bogging on those tires.

i bet youre gonna get traction no matter what psi in the tires with that setup. so just dont launch at so hi an rpm if you dont wanna strain the rear, but i think your rear should hold up just fine regardless. if you were a m6 it would be a different story
