Default Hood Scoop Insert

Anyone know where I can buy a new hood scoop insert for a 99-03 style SS hood?

The black plastic one would work fine, or even if anyone knows of a vendor that has one of them there fancy chrome ones..that'd work too.

Thanks,
Lee

Could not find the SS Chrome Hood Insert at afterthoughtsauto.com. Do you know anywhere else I can purchase one?

Afterthoughts Auto used to carry them, but discontinued it due to the quality of the chroming. I hear that they are either going with a different chroming process or looking for someone to manufacture a billet one. I just painted mine with Dupli-Color chrome paint, and it turned out pretty good. Its not chrome, but from about 5 feet away, it sure does look like it. Its probably the cheapest way to go. The ones from AA were $65 plus shipping. Hope that helps.

My chrome one from Afterthoughts is a year old, and looks like crap now.
I hope a billet one is in the works.
