Clutch sticking what's that mean?

Clutch sticking what's that mean? ok so i nailed my 02 SS to the floor power shifting 1st to 4th yesterday when i let off and shifted into 5th and then 6th the clutch normally releases even with the brake pedal at the top so to speak it was releasing ON the floor then it got stuck. so i went to where i was going let it sit then when i was leaving it was fine. it only does it after WOT shifts. do i need a new clutch? what exactly is going on to make it do that?
