Default speed inc tt 6 speed car goes 9.2@156.35

I know its not an f-body but being a employee of a sponsor I thought I would should post the results here, and you guys would appreciate them

Well after chasing weak links and electrical problems for the last 4 weeks it all came together yesterday at the track.....

!st run 2step @4200 making about 8-9 psi completely blew the tires away and my drive beltafter finding a bracket that supports the power steering pump cracked(hence the reason for pitch the belt) I ran into town and got a short belt to bypass the pump all is well

2nd run lowered the 2step to 3900 now it was making 5-6psi did my burn out staged let the clutch fly run felt really good figured I finally got my 9second passgot my time slip and I almost had a heart attack went as follows

60' 1.402
330' 4.044
1/8 6.089 @123.27
1000' 7.809
1/4 9.258 @156.35mph

this run was at 22lbs of boost with no power shifting

Besides being absolutely thrilled, the car was in one piece and ready for another pass

After a cool down i got back in the lanes, left the 2step where it was and made another pass as follows

60' 1.402
330' 3.952
1/8 5.990 @123.35
1000' 7.713
1/4 9.377 @127.22

this run was at 24lbs of boost, both runs were made on 28-10.50 e.t. drags
thanks for the tires LAST LS1

I'm sure you see the trap speed down a bit compared to the previous run, with good reason ........at the top of 3rd gear the car shut off literally,as i looked in the rear view i saw something come from under the car so i pulled on the return road popped the hood to find my crank trigger reluctor wheel and main drive pulley m.i.a.I'm not really sure what happened but the 4 3/8th's bolts that retain these 2 pieces are snapped off in the balanceri plan on looking at it more closely today.

On that 3rd pass I truly believe it would have been a 8.9X or 9.0X pass just bay looking how much the car was up by the 330',1/8 & 1000' mark,I guess it will have to wait till next season. All in all i had a great day and now my gaols have changed 8's@160

FWIW the only change that was made compared to street trim were the tires and wheels, still have the speaker box in the trunk 3/4 of a tank of 93 octane in the main tank and 7 gallons of c16 in the race tank, last time I weighed the car it was 3740 with me in it,i have a video of the 3rd pass I'll post tomorrow although I think some of the guys out there have it on video as well if thats the case please fell free to post it for me,thanks

here is a link to the car

WOW.

That is some awesome times. Glad everything finally came together for you. I was hoping to go to byron today but the weather isn't going to hold out. Real damp out here. I guess I'll have to wait untill next year for a 9 second pass.

Congrats.

congrats Dan! car looked great in person on the slicks, sounded good too.

i quit racing about 3:30 when i realized i wasn't going to go any faster than I did at cordova last weekend, still had a 60 mile drive home. Did Jimbo run the Z06 at all?
